Catherine Roy

She/her/hers
Catherine is a Boston-based registered dietitian with a passion for helping others truly understand the impact of nutrition on the human body, particularly bodies in motion. She completed her undergraduate degree in Chemistry at the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Ma, went on to complete her masters in Biochemical and Molecular Nutrition at Tufts University Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy, and her dietetics training at Simmons University and Brigham and Women's Hospital.

Catherine has a wide variety of experiences in dietetics, having worked in the clinical, research, private practice, and technology arena, which lends itself to a robust toolkit for using food to optimally fuel bodies. Additionally, Catherine has been published in Scientific Reports and Argo Food Industry Hi-Tech for her research on the use of blood-biomarkers to inform personalized nutrition systems. She currently works as the Wellness Coordinator for Newton Country Day school, where she teaches health and wellness to grades 5-12 and plans school wide programming for students, faculty, and staff. Additionally, her passion for athletics, and past life as a division I athlete, couldn't be ignored so she also serves as the varsity rowing coaching and middle school basketball coach.

In her free time you can find her wandering the aisles of Trader Joe's looking for the newest snack, checking out a local coffee shop, or making an absolute mess of her kitchen cooking her way through NYT Cooking.
